ILEA finished the Small Arms Trafficking course

The International Law Enforcement Academy  (ILEA San Salvador), closed the course on Small Arms Trafficking , which was developed by expert instructors from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives of the United States of America   (ATF).

The course’s main objective was to provide the participants with information to be able to identify and track counterfeit weapons or being transported illegally across international borders.

The illegal use of weapons becomes a threat to regional security, so that Law Enforcement Officers from Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Guatemala, Haiti, Mexico, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Trinidad and Tobago, were trained on such an important topic that will lead them to develop better strategies to help counteract firearms- related crimes.

The prompt action of the Law Enforcement units is indispensable when it comes to hit and eradicate   transnational and organized crime-related offenses, so that ILEA San Salvador develops this type of courses, to provide officers with the tools necessary to eradicate them effectively.
