ILEA San Salvador Closed Course on Transitioning to an Accusatory System

The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), completed the course on the transition to an accusatory system, taught by the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT). Thirty-five high-ranking officials from Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, and El Salvador benefited with this important training. 

This course, designed for law enforcement professionals such as judges and prosecutors, focused on the conceptual frame of reference of the accusatory system in criminal justice, as well as training in defense fundamentals and judicial skills. The course began with look at all relevant duties of the participants during the investigative phase and formulation of charges through the norms included in the sentence.

The training included some very important segments such as intense hours of practice with actual cases of the different participating countries.

With this type of projects, ILEA San Salvador seeks to strengthen peace, justice and democracy in our countries. ILEA Director for the Government of the United States of America, Brent Brown, gave the closing remarks.
