ILEA San Salvador promotes programs for the prevention of youth violence

Under the slogan "No one has the right to exercise violence on you," the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), in coordination with the Office of Narcotics Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador (INL) and the National Civil Police (PNC), welcomed students of the Ciudad Obrera School, of Ciudad Arce.

The visit had as its main objective, to educate young people about the rights of girls and boys, and about gender equality. Thanks to these talks, students will be able to identify the different types of violence to which they may be exposed such as psychological, physical, sexual, Bullying, and harassment.

In addition, young people had the opportunity to interact with the participants in the course on Asset Forfeiture and Money Laundering, who shared with the schoolchildren their stories of overcoming and how it is possible to knock down the obstacles stand in the way to becoming an honorable citizen, a professional or a law enforcement representative.
