ILEA San Salvador provided training to strengthen the fight of public corruption

The International Law Enforcement Academy, ILEA San Salvador, between the second and the sixth of September, developed a course called Public Corruption and Ethics in Law Enforcement. The course was developed by expert instructors from the Chilean Agency for International Cooperation (AGCI).

For one week, thirty-four law enforcement agents delegated from Argentina, Bahamas, Costa Rica, Paraguay, Peru, Dominican Republic, and El Salvador were trained. The course focused on the legal and regulatory frameworks of all organizations involved, as well as detection mechanisms, assets recovery, prosecution and trial of this type of crimes.

ILEA’s goals are to provide participants with the appropriate investigation techniques and procedures to combat corruption cases, to develop financial analysis, and the creation of an internal corruption prevention strategy, all this can only be achieved with international cooperation.
