This morning, was closed the week-long course on asset forfeiture and money laundering, which was delivered by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) instructors to law enforcement officers of the delegations of Bahamas, Brazil, Guyana, Haiti, Jamaica and El Salvador.
The training was designed to provide specific techniques for the identification, evaluation, monitoring and seizure of financial assets. In addition, investigative techniques to identify and analyze money laundering activities of drug trafficking organizations.
The course was held in person for Brazil, Guyana and El Salvador, while the Bahamas, Haiti and Jamaica were incorporated virtually. This is the first time that a training course combining both modalities has been carried out, and as ILEA we can say that we are proud of the results.
