After three days of training, today we closed the virtual program for wildlife trafficking investigators, which was delivered by experienced instructors from the United States Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS).
Our objective, as ILEA San Salvador, is to continue strengthening the knowledge on how to combat crimes that threaten the environment, since this is fundamental for a better development and effectiveness of the work done by law enforcement in this area.
This course was attended by 42 officials from Belize, Brazil, Guyana, Suriname, and El Salvador who gained access to knowledge related to the endangered species act, wildlife trade, case initiation and management, digital evidence, money laundering, interviews, drafting of reports and trial preparation.
