This afternoon, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), closed the Protective Security Detail course with 35 law enforcement professionals from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, and El Salvador who were trained by professionals of the Secret Service of the United States of America (USSS).
The course lasted one week and consisted of practicals through which participants learned about advanced processes and techniques used to provide protection to dignitaries and very important people in their country, protection in the event of a medical emergency, protection of motorcades driving the diplomatic corps and senior dignitaries among others.
The participants are law enforcement officials who protect very important persons such as presidents and religious leaders recognized worldwide.
The Director of ILEA San Salvador, Commissioner Darwin Arévalo, highlighted the importance of this training and thanked the organizing agency (USSS) and expects the training has helped the participants make the most of the ample knowledge the instructors possess on procedures and techniques used to provide protection and to react to emergency situations in their respective countries.
