This morning, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA) closed its International Border Interdiction, taught by experts of Customs and Border Protection of the United States of America (CBP).
The course was aimed at law enforcement officials from Barbados, Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Guyana, Panama, Uruguay and El Salvador.
CBP representatives taught the Border Interdiction Course in order to help participants better tackle crime in their border facilities through modern techniques.
The training course focused primarily on topics such as customs import and export operations, methods of concealments employed in passenger and commercial vehicles, inspection techniques, passenger and cargo targeting, and document analysis, among others.
Crimes at the border greatly affect all countries in the region; with this type of training, ILEA San Salvador seeks to provide law enforcement professionals with useful tools and knowledge to combat such crimes.
