The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador) held, for five weeks, its first Citizens Academy project, which emerged with the aim of opening the doors of the institution to the members of civil society, so that they can learn, first hand, about the work law enforcement professionals do every day to serve the citizens. This project was conducted with the help of expert instructors of federal law enforcement agencies of the United States of America.
For ILEA, the successful culmination of this project is an important milestone in its contribution to law enforcement efforts as it helps strengthen the security of the countries and promotes combating transnational crime.
