Today, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), inaugurated the training year with a course that addresses investigations on the criminal use of Cryptocurrencies. It will be given in person by the Secret Service of the United States of America for two weeks.
The purpose of the training is to provide an information base related to technology, going deeper into software issues so that participants learn the mechanics and operational elements of how the different types of cryptocurrencies work. In addition, they will be taught how to identify the presence of these currencies, using effective tracking techniques and research tools.
A total of 22 officials from Argentina, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, and El Salvador are participating in the course and will benefit directly from this knowledge, as they will be able to apply it in future investigations in their countries and abroad.
