Tobin Bradley and Heide Fulton, Deputy Assistant Secretaries (DAS) of State for the U.S. Department of State Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs joined a virtual visit with the staff of the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador).

DAS Bradley presented a certificate of appreciation to the ILEA staff for their outstanding work in benefit of regional security. In the session, the participants addressed topics of interest on the challenges the ILEA program faces because of the COVID 19 pandemic.

DAS Fulton and DAS Bradley also recognized the excellent work that the academy is doing in terms of innovation and resilience. ILEA San Salvador was the first of the six academies worldwide to implement virtual courses in 2020 and in-person courses during 2021. All of this hard work has contributed to the important fight against transnational organized crime.
