After three weeks of training, the International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador) closed the Law Enforcement Leadership Development Course (LELD), with the participation of 27 law enforcement officers from Belize, Guyana, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, Uruguay and El Salvador.
This training addressed important issues in the fight against transnational crime, such as leadership at critical moments, security and drug-related crimes. All this under the instruction of three major U.S. federal agencies such as the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Diplomatic Security Service (DSS).
The closing ceremony of the LELD course had the participation of the acting Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador, Matthew Rees. Also present were the ambassadors of Belize and Uruguay, as well as the heads of the institution.
