The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), successfully wrapped up the Course on IT Investigations and Networks, as part of an institutional effort of the Authorities which was developed by Instructors of the Secret Service of the United States of America. (USSS).
During the last two weeks, the Law Enforcement Officers from Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and El Salvador, had access to important knowledge on modern and complex investigation related to cybercrimes, hitting today the society in economic terms and of human rights , and how to fight them.
The course focused on a study at the introductory and intermediate level about electronic investigations of offences, based on themes such as: computers hardware, operating systems and file systems, Windows command lines, networks and internet, and other about network security. After that, participants learned how to collect and analyze different data from a computer during their practice.
ILEA San Salvador believes that this kind of knowledge acquired by Law Enforcement Officers , will be useful helping them to strongly fight crime and contribute, largely, by the construction of a more just and safe citizenship to guarantee the well-being of the people in each of our countries
