ILEA trained law enforcement officers on computer and network investigations

After two weeks of intense learning, the course on Computer and Network Investigations, delivered  by the Secret Service of the United States of America, ended   The training wasdeliverd to 15 officers representing Barbados, Ecuador and El Salvador. The objective was to develop capacities and skills to investigate criminal actions and properly handle electronic devices to preserve information and convert it into evidence to support judicial cases.

This knowledge will enable officers to incorporate important elements into their investigations such as computer security, email tracing, data collection, and the use of tools and techniques to capture and analyze volatile information on computer equipment.

This will allow them, first to establish networks with their colleagues in other countries in order to effectively combat transnational crime in the region.
