ILEA trained on techniques to combat drug trafficking

The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), developed a virtual training focused on emerging drugs and their production techniques, with the objective of preparing law enforcement agents on the most current trends in drug trafficking and emerging techniques for the production of illicit substances found around the world.

Topics of discussion included the handling of laboratory equipment and toxic chemicals, which have become a latent danger in different regions such as Latin America.

Officers from Belize, Chile, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador participated in the course, which was given by instructors from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
