ILEA trained seaport interdiction to law enforcement officers

This day, ILEA San Salvador, completed the virtual course on International Seaport Interdiction, which was taught by the agency of Customs and Border Protection of the United States of America (CBP, for its acronym in English).

Among the topics covered were border entry and exit operations, incident command structure in a maritime environment, export controls, anti-terrorism, methods of concealment of commercial and passenger vessels.

This, under all the guidelines for the use of non-intrusive inspection equipment, automated targeting systems, as well as a variety of detection techniques for various types of contraband.

More than 30 law enforcement officers from Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay and El Salvador participated in this training.
