The officials who benefited from this course are from Argentina, Bahamas, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Panama, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and El Salvador. They were urged to become multiplier members of this new knowledge.
The main focus of the training was on data collection and analysis, as well as various types of evidence from a computer in real time. Participants learned how to use a variety of tools and techniques to capture and analyze volatile and semi-volatile evidence on a computer.
This knowledge will be applied to a variety of cybercrimes, which will also be used to examine both the victims and suspects’ computers in a given crime. Examples of electronic crime, computer fraud and telecommunications fraud were also explored, with special emphasis on current international schemes.
ILEA San Salvador received from the delegation of Ecuador, tokens, as esteem and appreciation to this academy of high strategic studies, and pledged to put into practice the learning obtained, in each of their jobs, convinced that they will join efforts in combating crime in the region.
