The International Law Enforcement Academy (ILEA San Salvador), together with the Bureau of Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), of the United States, gave a warm welcome to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and to the Poma Foundation's Supérate Program which, as of April, will be part of the Youth Violence Prevention Program this academy promotes since 2012.

More than 200 students from different public schools in the country have visited ILEA to receive orientation talks on topics such as gender violence, drug use prevention, human trafficking, cybercrime, grooming, juvenile criminal law, among others.

As part of the activities of this program, young people have also had the opportunity to interact with law enforcement officials from different countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, who come to our academy for high-level training to effectively combat transnational crime.

Providing this opportunity for public school students to learn about the work that the institution does and to talk to them about such important issues is something that brings great pride and satisfaction to those involved. Thus, we will continue to contribute to the training of future leaders and professionals who will have a positive impact on their communities and countries.
